Catherine Hansford

Principal

Catherine is owner and principal of Hansford Economic Consulting. Catherine’s passion for water resources, coupled with her education and career in economics, complement one another. Catherine frequently works on multi-disciplinary teams to reach public-private partnership goals and enjoys a reputation for timely preparation of work product, respect for work colleagues, and ability to present findings and reports competently and succinctly at forums.

She frequently presents the results of her work to elected boards and councils, and speaks at local conferences. Catherine continually strives to be an excellent communicator. She completed media spokesperson training, as well as other courses, with this goal in mind.

Catherine earned a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nevada, Reno and holds a Bachelor of Science in Rural and Environmental Economics from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, United Kingdom. Catherine is an active member of the Nevada Water Resources Association and Nevada Rural Water Resources Association.
